Azure IoT Central is an IoT SaaS solution by Microsoft. It is an IoT application platform that simplifies the creation of IoT solutions.
Azure IoT Central simplifies the initial setup of your IoT solution and reduces the management burden, operational costs, and overhead of a typical IoT project.
This blog post provides a quick introduction to Azure IoT Central. You’ll need an Azure subscription to perform the steps below. If you do not have an Azure subscription, you can get a free Microsoft Azure account here.
So without further ado, let's get started!
Create an Azure IoT Central Application
Open the Azure IoT Central Manager available at https://apps.azureiotcentral.com/
Click on the Create a custom app button located at the bottom of the page to create a new Azure IoT Central Application.
Provide your desired value for the Application name. Note that your URL will be created as per the desired input value.
Select Free as your Pricing plan.
Click the Create button at the bottom of this New Application page:
A progress indicator will appear as below:
You’ll see the screen below as soon as it is finalized:
Create a new Device Template for ESP32
Now you have to inform the device type you are going to use in your application.
